ESS Hub - First Time Login Instruction

Introduction

Empeon is pleased to provide employees with an enhanced Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal to review their employment profile, paystubs and tax documents at their convenience. This online resource is easy to use and it supports access from both PC’s and smart devices. Review the information below for steps on how to register for an ESS account and login in for the first time.

Please Note: Recommended browsers to access the ESS Hub are Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer is not supported.

Registering Account

An email invitation to register for the ESS Hub will be sent from notifications@em.empeon.com. The email will resemble the example below. Click the blue "Register Account" button to begin setting up the account. If the email does not arrive, verify that the email address on file with the employer is correct.

After being directed to a secure web page, identity verification is required by entering the Social Security number. Next, confirm the email, set up a password, and verify both the first and last name are correct.

Once registration is complete, another email will be sent to verify the email address and finalize the creation of the ESS account. The subject line of the email will say "Email Address Confirmation" and it will come from notifications@em.empeon.com, resembling the example in the screenshot below. Click the blue "Confirm" button to proceed to the Sign-In screen.

After confirming the email, click "Go To Sign In" and log in using the email and password created. The URL for logging into the ESS Hub is https://hub.empeon.com. It is recommended to bookmark this URL. If the password is forgotten at any point in the future, use the "I forgot my password" button to initiate a password reset.

Upon first logging into Empeon Hub, the home screen will display. Here, the profile can be reviewed, and the latest pay stubs can be downloaded. To access more pay information, click the 'Paystubs' tab in the left-hand menu to review pay stubs from previous check dates.

Depending on the employer’s setup with Empeon, additional features may be available, such as requesting changes to employment information, setting up direct deposit, or requesting time off. Troubleshooting Tips

Review the tips below for addressing potential technical challenges encountered when logging in for the first time. For additional assistance, contact the Payroll or HR department.

  • Registration and access to the ESS Hub needs to be done through Chrome or Firefox. If Internet Explorer/Edge is the default browser; right-click and copy the "Register Account" link, and paste it into either Chrome or Firefox. Ensure that the entire registration process is completed in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  • When accessing the ESS Hub from a smart device, the link to download a paystub may be hidden. To address this, tap the Gross/Summary card for the needed pay stub and a "download" link will appear.
  • Registration and confirmation emails may sometimes be delayed or blocked as spam. If registering with a work email, request that IT whitelist emails from notifications@em.empeon.com. Additionally, check the 'Promotions' section of Gmail or the spam/promotions folders of other email services.
  • For any challenges registering or accessing with a smart device; utilize a PC to access instead.
  • The latest pay stub is available for review in the ESS Hub only on the same day or after the pay stub's check date.
  • The clock on the PC or device used to access the ESS Hub must match the current time. If the time does not align, the site may not load after login.
  • For other issues where the site fails to load after login, clear the browser’s cache for at least the last 7 days through the browser’s settings.
