ESS Hub - First Time Login Instruction
ESS Hub Registration
The optimization of Empeon Workforce really hinges on making sure that employees within the organization are registered with an ESS account. The ESS Hub is designed specifically for employees to view and manage their employment and pay information and it also serves as a direct channel for receiving communication from their employer.
This article outlines the steps to register for an ESS account and log in for the first time. Please note that Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are recommended browsers for accessing the ESS Hub. Internet Explorer is not supported.
- Registration Email - An email invitation to register for the ESS Hub will be sent from notifications@em.empeon.com. The email will resemble the example below. Click the blue "Register Account" button to begin setting up the account. If the email does not arrive, verify that the email address on file with the employer is correct.
- Verify identity - After being directed to a secure web page, the next step will be to confirm the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Then click "Verify Identity".
- Verify Email - The next step is to confirm the email address linked to the account. This email will be used for logging into the ESS Hub. In most cases this will be the email in which the ESS registration was sent to. However, if you prefer to use a different email address, there is the option to do so by selecting "Use a different email address".
- Create Password - After confirming the email the ESS account should be linked to, the next step will be to create a password. You will need to make sure the password fits the criteria listed on this screen. After establishing the password you will use to login into the ESS Hub, click "Finish".
- Email Verification - Once registration is complete, another email will be sent to verify the email address and finalize the creation of the ESS account. The subject line of the email will say "Email Address Confirmation" and it will come from notifications@em.empeon.com, resembling the example in the screenshot below. Click the blue "Confirm" button within the email to proceed to the Sign-In screen.
- Go To Sign-In - After clicking "Confirm" within the verification email, a new window will appear confirming that your email has been confirmed. Click "Go To Sign In" and log in using the email and password you just created. The URL for logging into the ESS Hub is https://hub.empeon.com. It is recommended to bookmark this URL. If the password is forgotten at any point in the future, use the "I forgot my password" button to initiate a password reset. Troubleshooting Tips
Review the tips below for addressing potential technical challenges encountered when logging in for the first time. For additional assistance, contact the Payroll or HR department.
- Registration and access to the ESS Hub needs to be done through Chrome or Firefox. If Internet Explorer/Edge is the default browser; right-click and copy the "Register Account" link, and paste it into either Chrome or Firefox. Ensure that the entire registration process is completed in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
- When accessing the ESS Hub from a smart device, the link to download a paystub may be hidden. To address this, tap the Gross/Summary card for the needed pay stub and a "download" link will appear.
- Registration and confirmation emails may sometimes be delayed or blocked as spam. If registering with a work email, request that IT whitelist emails from notifications@em.empeon.com. Additionally, check the 'Promotions' section of Gmail or the spam/promotions folders of other email services.
- For any challenges registering or accessing with a smart device; utilize a PC to access instead.
- The latest pay stub is available for review in the ESS Hub only on the same day or after the pay stub's check date.
- The clock on the PC or device used to access the ESS Hub must match the current time. If the time does not align, the site may not load after login.
- For other issues where the site fails to load after login, clear the browser’s cache for at least the last 7 days through the browser’s settings.
