ESS Hub - How to Request a Missed Punch
If the Missed Punch request is made available to employees, they will have the ability to submit a "Missed Punch" request from their ESS Hub. While in most cases, the need to request a punch is in the event of a missed punch altogether, this feature can also be used to request a correction to an existing punch as well.
For employees who have this permission available to them, this article explains how to submit a missed punch request.
To request a missed punch within the ESS Hub, go to the Timecard section and click the "Fix" button for the day the punch is being requested.
On the screen that appears, select the type of punch being requested—either a Clock In or Clock Out.
Next, enter the date and time of the punch being requested. A designated Missed Punch Reason is also required, along with a Comment.
In some cases, there may be an additional step to upload a document, such as a signed timesheet or a manager note. Whether this step is optional or required depends on how the organization has configured the request process.
Once all fields have been entered, click "Send for approval". A confirmation window will then appear. Click "Send" to submit the request.
After submitting the request, an orange icon will appear on the ESS timecard for the day the punch was requested, indicating that a request is pending. Once the request is approved by an administrator, the punch will be reflected on the timecard.
Please note that missed punch requests can only be submitted one punch at a time. If multiple punches are missing or need correction, repeat these steps for each one.
