What are Onboarding Templates?

Onboarding Templates is a feature within Empeon Workforce designed to streamline how employees are onboarded into the system. This tool enables the creation of self-onboarding welcome packets that can be sent electronically to newly hired employees in order to add them into the system. Onboarding Templates can be configured to facilitate the collection of personal information from employees as well as share company-related information and resources with them. 

When an Onboarding Template is sent to a new employee, it accomplishes three main things:

  1. Creates and builds out the employee's profile within Empeon Workforce using the information that is collected when they complete the packet.
  2. Shares company-related documents, policies, and benefits with the employee to review and sign off on.
  3. Initiates the registration of the employee's ESS Account.

Onboarding Templates can be customized for specific audiences, allowing content to be tailored based on job title, office location, or other factors. Onboarding Templates create for a smooth onboarding experience for both the employer and the employee helping to really simplify the complexities of employee onboarding.

There are three main sections involved in building out the Onboarding Template:

  • Cards - Info Cards include all fields of information that can be collected to build out the Employee Profile. There are required Cards that cannot be removed that collects more basic information about the employee, however there are several available Cards that can be included, if desired.
  • Paths & Documents - Paths and Documents can be incorporated into any Onboarding Template prompting employees to complete these items.
  • Welcome Message - A message to the employee that is displayed within the email the employee receives when the Onboarding Template is sent to them. This section also offers the ability to include a welcome video, if desired.
