A newly added feature in the ESS Admin Tool is Text Message Notifications. Currently, the only available notification is for alerting employees about open shifts, however Empeon is working to expand this feature to include additional types of text notifications. As more text notifications are added, there will be the ability to pick and choose which notifications should be turned on.
With this in mind, Notification Settings will only be available right now for clients utilizing Empeon's Scheduling feature. To enable text message notifications for open shifts that are available to employees, navigate to the ESS Admin section within the Actions tab and then select the subtab for Notification Settings.
Use the Enable text notifications toggle to turn on text notifications for open shift alerts. Please note that these notifications will only work for employees who have a mobile phone number entered on their Employee Profile. When text message notifications are enabled, employees will receive a prompt to opt into them, giving them the option to accept or decline receiving text notifications.
