Advanced Scheduling Enhancements (Beta)
We've made significant improvements to our scheduling system, addressing various issues and introducing new features to enhance your scheduling experience:
Overlapping Shift Thresholds
You can now set a shift overlapping threshold. For instance, if you have a day shift from 7:00 to 3:30 and an evening shift from 3:00 to 11:30, you can instruct the system to permit a 30-minute overlap between shifts to avoid any conflicts. You can find this setting under Company > Scheduling > Shifts > (Shift) > Advanced Settings.
Open Shift Posting
We've resolved the issue where open shifts were sometimes posted for employees already scheduled during that shift. Scheduling rules are now considered when posting open shifts, preventing these conflicts.
Simplified Position Setup
When setting up shifts, it's now easier to assign positions, streamlining shift management.
Improved Visibility
We've redesigned the "My Schedule" and "Open Shift" sections in ESS to make them more user-friendly and distinct.
Push Notifications
Stay informed with push notifications for Progressive Web App (PWA).
Email Notifications
Employees now receive email notifications when their shifts are approved, enhancing communication.
ESS Inbox
Open shifts are now conveniently accessible in the Employee Self-Service (ESS) inbox, making it even easier for employees to view and request available shifts.
Staffing Agency Employees
Managing staffing agency employees has become easier with the introduction of a dedicated new hire screen. When adding a new agency staffing employee, the system will only request essential employee details, eliminating the need to fill out all the information required for a regular employee.
Additionally, we've added the option to track staffing agencies in the Employee job info card, enabling you to store and maintain the staffing agency associated with each employee.
Please Note! This feature must be enabled, and it's automatically turned on for existing clients with agency employees. If you don’t see this option, please contact Support.
Task managements, paths, and checklists
We've added new features to the Paths task management module:
Checklists
With our latest update, you can now create comprehensive checklists for tasks that extend beyond our system. These checklists offer a versatile way to keep track of various activities that must be completed.
You can assign these checklists to employees, managers, or any system user who needs to be involved in tracking and completing the tasks listed.
Assign Uploads
We added the ability to assign and require document uploads for managers or system users.
Inactive Tasks
Individual tasks can be marked as inactive, preserving their history without requiring them for future employees.
New I9 Form
We've implemented the latest I9 form, ensuring that your organization remains compliant with the latest legal requirements and providing accurate and up-to-date documentation when onboarding new employees.
Time Off Requests & Approvals
Filter by period
You can now filter Time Off Requests by pay period, making it easier to manage leave requests efficiently.
Export Requests
You can now download and export time off requests to Excel.
Clock In Geofencing
We've improved the clocking-in process by automatically setting punch locations based on GPS location of the employee
Bulk Import Manual Checks
You can now bulk import time files for manual check printing off-cycle of payroll, providing more flexibility in payroll management.
Checks Shipment Tracking Emails
We're excited to introduce a brand new feature that enhances the transparency and convenience of your check delivery process. With this feature, you will receive automated email notifications containing checks shipment tracking information when your checks are dispatched.
Now, as soon as your payroll checks are shipped, you'll receive a dedicated email notification. This email will include essential details about your shipment, including the tracking number and a direct link to the shipping carrier's website.
GL Enhancements
We've enhanced General Ledger (GL) management:
Download GL Report
You can now download GL reports directly from the GL setup screen.
Recalculation Prompt
The system prompts recalculation of the GL when making changes to ensure data accuracy.
