Benefits Accrual Module
Released a powerful and flexible Accruals module where clients can manage their benefit accrual polices. Build your accrual plans and customize each one to meet the exact needs of your company. You can determine accrual rates and limits, employee eligibility, plan year, carry over, and more. The Accruals module is found under Company > Benefits > Accruals. Contact your support team to enable this feature for your organization.
Filter Groups
Released a feature where users can setup predefined custom filters which can then be used in various areas of the system. Filter Groups is found under Company > Rules > Filter Groups. For users with a custom role, the role will need to be updated to allow access to the rules section of the company setup.

Advanced Filter Employee List
We added an advanced filter to the employee list. You can filter the list on the fly or by using a predefined filter group.
Notification for Time Off Requests
Added a setting to notify managers/assignees every time an employee submits a time off request. The setting is found under Action > ESS Admin > Request Setup > Time Off.
The Assignee/Manager will get an email notification when the employee submits a time off request.
ESS Messages - See which employees viewed the message
Add the ability for employers to see which employees viewed a posted ESS message. ESS Messages is found under Actions > ESS Admin > Messages.
Alerts - Daily, Weekly, Monthly Summary Alerts
A summary option was added to Remind Me Alerts. Use this to set up an email notification that includes a summary of all event dates within a specified date range (previously users were only able to set alerts per event, which would trigger an email for each approaching event).
For example, set up a monthly alert to show all employee birthdays within the coming month; a weekly alert showing all licenses/certifications that will expire this week; or a termination alert listing all employees who were terminated during the last three months.
Alerts settings are found under Company > Alerts.
Miscellaneous Updates
Feedback
We made it easy for clients to provide feedback directly from within the application. Feedback is found on the bottom right corner of all pages throughout the application.
Employee Dropdown Filter
Added the ability to filter the employee dropdown.
Users can use one of the predefined filters fields (filter on the fly) or users can use a custom filter group.
Auto Sign-Out Preference
Added a preference setting where users can manage the auto sign-out time (the amount of time after which the system automatically signs the user out if there is no activity).
Importing Employees - Company Code Confirmation
Now when importing employees, the system prompts the user to confirm the company code. This was done in order to prevent importing into the wrong company.
Company Name and DBA in Live Reports
Users can now bring in company name and DBA columns to live reports. This enhancement is not available for the Gross to Net reports.
New Hire Screen
Added the accrual bank and PBJ as available fields to bring into the new hire screen.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Gross to Net Live Reports defaulted with Employer taxes instead of employee taxes. This is now fixed.
- Fixed: Earning and Deduction codes with a period in the code would not work properly in the Gross to Net reports. This is now fixed.
- Fixed: In some scenarios standard reports would show incorrect check dates. This is now fixed.
- Fixed: When a user would attempt to upload an attachment which exceeds the size limit, the user would not get a proper warning explanation. This is now fixed.
- Fixed: In some rare scenarios the reset password in ESS was not working.
- Fixed: In the new employee screen, users were forced to select a withholding state which matches the work state. This was now fixed.
- Fixed: The system did not allow apostrophes in the employee address field. This is now fixed.
