Clock Is Overheating

If your clock is overheating or running unusually hot, it may cause the device to freeze or slow down.

Common Causes & Troubleshooting Steps

1. Both POE and Power Cord in Use

  • Clocks should be powered by either Power over Ethernet (POE) or a power cord - not both at the same time.

  • Using both can cause the device to overheat.

  • Disconnect one power source and restart the clock.

2. Frozen or Sluggish Performance

  • Overheating may cause the clock to freeze or slow down.

  • After correcting the power connection, restart the clock to restore normal performance.

3. Direct Sunlight

  • Make sure that the clock is not in an area that gets direct sunlight throughout the entire day.

Tip: Best Practice

Choose a single, stable power source (preferably power cord) to reduce cable clutter and prevent overheating.
